[Artist Note] 천리마는 목적지에 다다를 때까지 결코 멈추지 않는다. A thousand-mile horse never stops until it reaches its destination. 천리마는 하루에 1,000리를 달린다고 전해 오는 전설의 말입니다. 천리마가 힘차게 질주하는 모습은 강한 튼튼함과 끈기를 상징하는데, 이는 바로 우크라이나 국민의 모습입니다. 말의 모습을 자세히 보면 얼굴뿐만 아니라 곳곳에 상처의 흔적이 보이는데. 이것은 장기화되어 가는 전쟁으로 인해 받은 상처와 아픔을 표현한 것입니다. 이러한 전쟁의 상황 속에서도 희망을 잃지 않고, 인내심과 끈기로 온 국민이 똘똘 뭉쳐 이번 상황을 극복하고 있는 모습은 천리마의 모습과 무척 닮아 있는 것 같습니다. 천리마는 결국 평화라는 목적지에 다다르게 될 것입니다. 얼마 남지 않았습니다. 우크라이나가 하루빨리 평화를 되찾기를 기도합니다. A thousand-mile horse is a legendary horse that is said to run a thousand-mile a day. The image of the thousand-mile horse galloping vigorously symbolizes strong stamina and perseverance, which is the very image of the Ukrainian people. If you look closely at the horse, you'll notice that it has scars all over its body, not just on its face, representing the wounds and pain of the protracted war.The appearance of the entire nation overcoming this situation with patience and perseverance, without losing hope even in the face of war, seems very similar to the strong figure of the horse shown in this work. This horse will eventually reach its destination of peace. It's not long. We pray that Ukraine will regain peace as soon as possible. |
